Richard & Clare’s bed and breakfast ‘Rockview’, is a two hundred year old town house within the conservation area with views over Loch Portree and Ben Tianavaig.
We offer visitors two large comfortable double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The rooms receive the morning sunlight. Breakfast is served in our large, attractive dining room. We serve either a full Scottish cooked breakfast or a continental style breakfast.
The recently renovated house is within easy walking distance of Portree town centre, the hub of the Isle of Skye. Here you will find a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and down at the harbour fishing and creel boats that land langoustines, crabs and lobsters. Also from the harbour there are tour vessels that will take you out to see seals, porpoises, dolphins, sea eagles and if you are really lucky maybe a minke whale. Portree makes a great base to go out to all the different parts of the island.
Clare and Richard have lived on Skye for 35 years and have a wealth of local knowledge to help you make the most of your visit to the island. Richard is a keen photographer and can suggest beautiful places to visit and explore. Clare is a great cook who with Richard successfully ran Harbour View Restaurant for eight years.
We look forward to hearing from you and doing our best to make your holiday special.
